  • To join the 5-Day Course for the Continuing Students, everyone regardless of previous experience in Yoga must firstly complete one Introductory 5-Day Course directly preceding the Continuing Course or in the past. We reserve right to direct the person - who booked the 5-Day Course for Continuing Students online and did not complete Introductory course - to join the Introductory 5-Day Course instead. 5-Day Yoga Course starts every Wednesday 9.30am
  • To encourage students to continue learning and practice yoga at our institute, we offer a discount on further study. The 2nd week is ₹5000, the 3rd week ₹4,500, the 4th week ₹4,000 and from 5th week the cost is ₹3,500 (Includes Tax 18%). For enrolment and further details please enquire at the centre office.
  • For RETURNING STUDENTS who have completed one or more courses in the past year, to avail the discount, please make your payment at the HIYC office and bring exact dates of your last visit.
  • To avail 50% discount for Himachal citizens use coupon HIYCHP and 20% for Indian and other SAARC countries citizens use HIYCSAARC.
  • Please note that the deposit, once submitted, is non-refundable. The money paid can be used however for any other yoga course within 1 year from the date the initially booked course starts.

5-Day Courses begin every Wednesday at 9.30 am

The 5-Day Yoga Courses immerse the participant into the essence of Yoga, teaching both its aspects, philosophical as well as practical. During these Courses, a student learns everything that is needed to maintain a regular self-practice independently.

Sharat Arora, Indian yoga master, designed the 5-Day Courses program using a scientific approach and an awareness that is often overlooked in other forms of Yoga. During his 39 years of experience and research in the field, he developed and still continues to explore a unique approach to teaching the foundations of Yoga practice in the simplest way possible.

Yoga GoaThere are thousands of Yoga Asanas, but which of them are the most beneficial for our modern times? This question is being answered on the 5-Day Yoga Courses conducted by one of our teachers. They are introducing the B.K.S. Iyengar Yoga as well as providing a working knowledge to become a self-practitioner. Corrective, rejuvenating / energizing and relaxing / meditative postures are taught. Those students with ailments are given specific therapeutic attention and guidelines. The Course provides a fundamental framework and inspires one to explore deeper within. The Course is informative, motivational and, above all, experiential.

The classes are 2.5 to 3.5 hours daily and are offered at the Himalayan Iyengar Yoga Centre on a weekly basis. If the students wish to continue studying at the Centre after the first 5-Day Course for Beginners, they may join another 5-Day Courses for Continuing Students and explore the subject in greater detail.

In order to encourage long-term Yoga training at the Himalayan Iyengar Yoga Centre, there is a different theme and focus each week.
